I struggled with deep facial scars-on my entire face for about 20 years. My scarring was always noticeable, but as I aged and lost weight the depth and obviousness increased greatly. Prior to my first treatment at Apple Valley Skin and Body, I had tried many procedures. I went to dermatologists, estheticians, nurses, and plastic surgeons. I had spent several thousand dollars on just procedures, not including high end skin care, peels, and natural treatments. Most of my procedures were considered aggressive and involved down time healing. When I first went to AVSBI I was using injections (temporary) to fill in deep scars. During my first free consultation, it was strongly suggested that I not waste my money on temporary fillers but to do an aggressive treatment that could be tailor made to meet my needs. I declined the advice and informed her I was presently getting much more relief from the therapy dollars I was spending to learn to accept my appearance than I would get from another aggressive treatment. I explained that I had received dozens of treatments that had little or no results. AVSBI accepted my stand and booked me for the injections I requested. They did a great job on the injections and I have to say, they outlasted any injections I had gotten at other places.

Over the next two years I was able to see the integrity, knowledge, and dedication of the work done at AVSBI. Having dealt with so many people working in this industry I am extremely skeptical, resistant, judgmental and cautious. I also could not help but notice that management is extremely passionate and a perfectionist.

Five months ago I decided to have the treatment originally suggested to me. This one treatment (The Profractional Laser) was handled with utmost care not only pre and post procedure.

There are so many ways the staff handled my treatment that was impressive. I will name a few.

Staff called two weeks prior to be sure I had the things I needed to started pre-procedure care that would improve my post procedure healing. They called the day prior to see if I had any questions or concerns and to be sure I was following the pre instructions properly. During the procedure I received close attention from several specialized staff. They really paid attention to the areas that bothered me most as well as some areas that I didn’t notice were problems until I saw great improvement there following the procedure. The staff was careful that I was comfortable and that I understood each aspect of the procedure. They called a few hours after the procedure and then a few days later to see how I was and to be sure I got in for my follow up in a timely manner.

I am thrilled to see lasting results I have received. My skin looks better than ever. I still look like me, but much better. I like the fact I don't look fake. Most of my scars are gone and what it left is very shallow in comparison to what they were before. I am no longer so self conscious about my skin that I won't go certain places or feel uncomfortable in bright lighting. I am definitely happy with the results, they far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend going to AVSBI before going anywhere else.

Recently I learned a little more about the owner Ms. Saadat, Managing Director; which explained a lot of why AVSBI is not only a cut above, but a one of a kind in the high desert. Mary spent many years working in Beverly Hills in the plastic surgery field and has been in charge of all aspects of the surgical facilities she was at, Including research and development. I have seen glimpses of her passion for research and development and I believe it gives AVSBI clients a priceless advantage in receiving treatments that are implemented at AVSBI.

If I could have a chance to make different treatment choices I would definitely not only have listened to Marys treatment suggestions from the beginning, but I would have gone right to AVSBI first. I hope that someone reading this letter can be spared the disappointment, frustration and financial waste that I did not have to experience.

Where to begin? I am so not a surgical/body altering type of woman or at least I thought so. However, I do love great skin care and always looking to improve what I'm given. I have known Mary and Apple Valley Skin & Body Institute since coming to the desert. I believe fear of the unknown was my real hesitation to holding off on any procedures all along as opposed to a girl who wouldn't consider a treatment. I finally decided after many years to go for it. I did the Non-Surgical Face Lift! It was an amazing experience, no pain, no side effects, and beautiful natural results, me only better! I am so glad I didn't do one thing at a time and let the expert advice of doing the whole face win out! I believe doing one thing at a time would have dragged out and only lessened the whole experience of seeing such amazing results! There was NO downtime, and my concerns that people would know I had work done was so silly looking back. Not one person stopped to say anything but you look so good-what skin care are you using? Or you look so rested did you take a vacation? I love it!! The subtleness of the results was just what I was looking for, however, everyday I wake up looking so alive and refreshed! Besides the great customer service, which is a rare to get anywhere these days, the Skin & Body Institute is amazing. A+ rating. I personally have been going there and tonight I just want to let all you woman know the/"down there cream/" works beautiful. This is truly A very special place. From the time you arrive to the time you leave (not to mention the after-care calls of concern) you know you have made a very wise choice in entrusting these caring individuals with something very important: your self esteem!!
Being fifty-something and having neglected my skin for so long I was feeling good ,but looking tired and losing my glow. Starting to get what I call "desert rat" skin. But no more! I started small with facials and microdermabrasion(tracy):, and for the first time in my life finding a skin care facility that I really trust to advise me on all things skin and with sound professional advice and no BS I went for it with skin tightening and laser resurfacing and the results are in....my husband tells me that I look radiant! And I know he means it! I no longer find my reflection in the mirror depressing. With proper skin care and wonderful and affordable skin care products (love, love, love La roche-Posay) I will maintain my fresh and brand new baby soft skin for years to come. This desert I love? is harsh and very unforgiving but I have found the fountain of youth right here in our own backyard. And with a WOW!
